Peking Garden Closes Permanently After 28 Years In Andover

The local Chinese restaurant closed its doors for good New Year's Day, according to a note posted on the building.

ANDOVER, MA — Peking Garden of Andover, a Chinese restaurant in downtown Andover, closed its doors permanently Saturday, according to a note posted on the building.

The restaurant served Chinese, Polynesian and Mandarin food in Andover for over 28 years.

The owners of the restaurant are retiring, according to the note.

"We will miss our customers and our colleagues dearly, but look forward to spending more time with our families," they wrote. "Thank you for nearly three decades of business and friendship."

Peking Garden was located at at 36-36A Park Street.
