Popcorn Thrower Breaks Window on Park Street

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Friday, Jan. 11

At 1:43 a.m. police arrested Jennifer L. Broberg, 45, of 12 Gibson Court, North Andover, on Park Street. Broberg was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating under the influence of liquor.

At 7:52 a.m. a caller reported a minor two-car accident on Route 125. No injuries were reported.

At 10:42 a.m. a walk-in visitor reported that his mailbox was vandalized.

At 4:31 p.m. a caller reported that a company vehicle on South Main Street was stolen.

At 5:42 p.m. a possible oven fire was reported on Dale Street. The scene was under control by the time fire officials arrived.

At 11 p.m.  a caller reported a strange odor coming from his neighbors apartment. An officer reports the smell was burnt beans.

Saturday, Jan. 12

At 12:24 a.m. a caller reported that a bartender on Park Street refused to serve a patron and the patron threw popcorn at the bartender. The patron then went outside and broke the window to the drycleaners nearby. The patron was gone on the arrival of an officer.

At 7:52 a.m. a caller reported that someone stole all four tires from a vehicle on Bulfinch Drive.

At 6:08 p.m. a caller reported an assault on Stevens Street.

At 8:14 p.m. a caller reported gunshots in the area of Holly Terrace.
