Principal Says Protocol Was Followed to Find Missing Boy
The West Elementary School principal sent out a note to parents yesterday evening about the 10-year-old boy that went missing yesterday but was found shortly after.

The West Elementary School principal Elizabeth Roos informed the school community yesterday about the 10-year-old boy that went missing for roughly an hour in the mid-afternoon.
The principal provided parents with a short note about the fact that a student went missing but was found using the safety regulations that they have in place at the school.
"The West Elementary emergency protocol was put into place and he was found and safely returned to school and his parents," the statement read.

Police eventually found the boy on a nearby green at the Andover Country Club golf course. He was safe and unharmed.
School Superintendent Marinel McGrath did not yet return a call yesterday requesting an explanation as to how the student could have left school grounds.

Today at West Elementary there was a student who was missing. The West Elementary emergency protocol was put into place and he was found and safely returned to school and his parents. I would like to thank the West Elementary faculty, the Andover police and the superintendent for their support.
