Update: Andover May Receive As Much as 6.4 Inches

The region is yet again expected to receive snowfall.

10 a.m. -

The National Weather Service predicts that Andover may recieve 6.4 inches of snow acculmation. Snow and sleet are in the forecast for Tuesday morning and afternoon, with towns closer to New Hampshire, such as Andover, getting the brunt of the snow. 

Snow should start between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and end around 4 p.m., possibly turning into sleet in the afternoon.

Temperatures will in the low 20s with winds between five and ten miles per hour.

The National Weather Service warns area residents that sleet may lead to fallen branches and snapped wires.The potential of rain later in the afternoon or evening may lead flooding and drainage issues Tuesday evening.

The parking ban was not in effect as Monday evening in Andover but police typically call one with the accumulation of 2 inches of snow or more.
