School Lecture: Helping Children Become Resilient

A speaker will be discussing how parents can help children cope with crisis at Doherty Middle School tonight.

The Andover Public Schools are bringing in nationally-renowned speaker Maria Trozzi to adddress the challenge in helping children cope with issues in 2012.

Trozzi is an expert in early childhood development as well as helping children adjust following a crisis. This event is called "Helping our Children Develop Resilience as They Face a Complicated World."

She will be speaking at the auditorium Monday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

With modern technology and social norms making the world an ever more complicated place, the schools want to give parents the tools to help their child cope with tragedy and grow to be a capable and confident adult.
