Stop & Shop, Market Basket: Grocery Stores Open On Labor Day

ANDOVER, MA — As plans for Labor Day celebrations ramp up in Andover and across America, trips to the grocery stores are already being made. Trader Joe's, Stop & Shop and Market Basket are among the popular grocery store chains that have stocked up for the Monday holiday celebrating workers, which falls on Sept. 6 this year.

It's almost inevitable that a supply of condiments, hot dogs, potato chips and other Labor Day weekend party classics will be forgotten on the day. Luckily for last-minute shoppers, the majority of grocery stores in and near Andover will still be open to help out.

Many grocery stores are operating under face covering guidelines as the coronavirus pandemic continues amid a nationwide surge of delta variant cases, so make sure to double-check with your neighborhood location on its policy before deciding whether to take a mask with to the store.
