Storm Knocks Out Power To More Than 2K In Essex County
A winter storm dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the county. See snowfall totals for your town.
ESSEX COUNTY, MA — A winter storm has knocked out power to 2,288 households as of Sunday afternoon.
A majority of those are in Andover, where 1,219 customers were without power, according to National Grid's outage map.
In Haverhill, 364 National Grid customers were without power. Outages affected 102 homes in North Andover as well.

Here are the snowfall totals reported by the National Weather Service for Essex County:
- Andover: 15.6 inches
- Haverhill: 15 inches
- Merrimac: 14 inches
- Groveland: 13.3 inches
- Newburyport: 12 inches
- Newbury: 12 inches
- Methuen: 12 inches
- Georgetown: 12 inches
- Danvers: 8.5 inches
- Rowley: 8.1 inches
A winter storm warning remains in effect until Monday at 1 a.m.

A chance of snow is expected mainly before 7 p.m. Winds will calm down to 5 to 10 mph. New snow accumulations will be half an inch or less.
The storm will clear out with partly sunny skies tomorrow with a high near 34.
