ANDOVER, MA — Andover residents will have multiple athletes to root for during the Tokyo Olympics, which officially begin Friday after a one-year pandemic delay.

Andover native Lindi Schroeder, 19, will be part of the artistic/synchronized swimming team. Schroeder will compete in the duet artistic swimming event, which begins Aug. 2, with her partner Anita Alvarez.

This will be Schroeder's first Olympic appearance. She was a finalist in the 2019 World Championship and came in fifth in the 2021 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series Super Final.
