
UPDATE: The original tornado warning was lifted, but a new warning was issued for Essex County until 4:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Middlesex County and parts of Essex County including Andover.
The warning is in effect until 3:15 Monday.
The alert from NWS reads:
"TAKE COVER NOW! DO NOT WAIT TO SEE THE TORNADO. GO TO A BASEMENT OR INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING...AWAY FROM WINDOWS. IF IN A VEHICLE...A MOBILE HOME OR OUTDOORS...GET TO THE CLOSEST SHELTER. PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS."
