Town Of Andover Accepting Nominations For Virginia Cole Service Award
The award is handed out annually for a person's outstanding, long-term contributions to the town in an elected, appointed or volunteer role.

ANDOVER, MA — The Town of Andover is accepting nominations for the 2023 Virginia Cole Community Service Award, handed out annually to an individual for their outstanding, long-term contributions to the town in an elected, appointed or volunteer role.
The nominations are open online until March 31. The forms also can be emailed to manager@andoverma.gov. The award will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting on May 1.
Nominations for the award will be accepted from any Andover resident. Officials said nominations also will be solicited from town committees, boards and volunteer groups.

The Selection Committee will be comprised of the chair of the Andover Select Board, chair of the School Committee and the town moderator.
Virginia Cole, described online as a philanthropist and "legendary" volunteer, won the first award in 2001. The list of winners also includes:
