Tractor-Trailer Rollover Shuts Down Ramps at Route 495 and I-93

A tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries Thursday afternoon when his truck overturned on a highway onramp.

State Police received a call reporting the accident at 12:38 p.m. According to troopers at the scene, the driver had been driving north on I-93 and was trying to get to Route 495 South, when he lost control on the onramp and the truck flipped on its side.

State Police and Andover Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. The driver was taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital.

The crash shut down the ramps from 495 South to I-93 North and from I-93 North to 495 South until 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
