A routine Sunday afternoon traffic stop left police with more than they expected.

Just before 1 p.m. Sunday, an Andover Police officer stopped a car on Route 133 near the I-93 exit for traffic violations. It turned out that the driver had a suspended license.

At one point, the officer asked the two occupants to step out of the vehicle, at which point police reportedly discovered the men were carrying switchblades. Police say they also found a bag of 14 Percocet pills, a dollar bill with cocaine residue on it and another dollar bill with half a gram of cocaine wrapped in it.

Nicholas Pezzulo, 31, of 8 Marion Road, Salem, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and operating on a suspended license.

Justin Kingston, 35, of 25 Sable Road, Salem, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and two counts of possession of a class B substance.
