
The following is an excerpt from the Andover Police log from Monday through Tuesday morning.
- Police responded to Brookside Drive Monday at noon for a report of a fight between two women. When police arrived, one of the parties had left the area.
- At 12:52 p.m. Monday, police went to Rocky Hill Road for a report of wires down. Police found wires down and a piece of clothing tied between an electric wire and phone line.
- At 1:27 p.m. Monday, police responded to Central Street for a report of a resident receiving harassing phone calls and e-mails.
- Police responded to Glenwood Road at 4:35 p.m. Monday after residents reporter a female solicitor going up and down the street. The woman was described as wearing a red dress coat. The solicitor told residents she was from a phone company, but she was not wearing any identification badge, police said.
- At 5:23 p.m. Monday, a resident of Frontage Road called police about a tree company cutting down trees. The resident said the tree "crew looked shady." The company was not there when police arrived.
- At 7:17 p.m. Monday, a resident came into the police station to report what he believes is an "internet predator." The man told police the "predator" is acting like an 11-year-old girl online. A report was filed.
- At 8:11 p.m. Monday, police arrested Geraldy E. Cartagena, 19, 89 Tenney St., Methuen, on a warrant and also charged him with driving after license suspension and having defecting equipment.
