Tree Limb Falls on Passing Car

The police log for Tuesday March 1, contained several small incidents and one arrest.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Tuesday, March 1

At 2:14 a.m. police arrested Corey Michael Sutton, 22, of 590 Flat Hill Road, Lunenburg, on North Main Street. Sutton was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and no inspection sticker.

At 9:06 a.m. a caller reported a disabled motor vehicle in the middle of the road on Central Street. Elm Street Auto towed the vehicle.

At 11:31 p.m. a school bus operator was given a written warning for failure to stop on North Main Street.

At 11:33 a.m. a report of ice falling from the Old Town Hall on Main Street forced police to tape off certain areas around the building to ensure safety of pedestrians.

At 1:02 p.m. an officer reported property damage caused by a hit and run on Chestnut Street. Some damage was done to a wall.

At 3:01 p.m. a possible rabid opossum was reported on Campanelli Road. The animal eventually ran off into the woods.

At 5:13 p.m. a motorist reported that a tree limb fell on her car while she was driving on Chandler Road. No injuries were reported and an officer filed the incident.

At 9:14 p.m. an employee at Peking Garden on Park Street reported that two males were in the restaurant throwing trays that had napkins and other items on the trays. Police reported that the incident was a misunderstanding.
