Two Hospitalized After Multi-Car Crash With Motorcycle In Andover

A man driving a motorcycle and a woman driving a sedan were taken to the hospital after an SUV crossed the middle line, police said.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved in the crash. As of 9:30 Thursday morning, there has been no word of their condition, and the extent of their injuries is unclear.

ANDOVER, MA — Two people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash in Andover Wednesday night.

Officers and emergency crews responded to a report of a crash near 464 Lowell Street around 11 p.m., and found that an SUV had collided with a sedan before both struck a motorcycle, Andover police said.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Lawrence General Hospital before being flown to Boston Medical Center and the woman driving the sedan was taken to Saint's Memorial Hospital.

Andover police say an early investigation is showing that the driver of the SUV crossed over the center line, causing the woman driving the sedan to swerve to try to avoid it, but both vehicles collided and the SUV kept going, striking the motorcyclist.
