UMass Vice Chancellor Dies Following Crash
Gina Cappello passed away Tuesday, according to the Worcester District Attorney's Office.

Andover, MA - University of Massachusetts Boston Vice Chancellor Gina Cappello, of Andover, died Tuesday after a deadly crash that also took her boyfriend's life on Memorial Day, the Worcester District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Cappello, 52, and her boyfriend, Daniel Sullivan, were walking in Oxford, when they were caught up in a multi-car accident. None of the vehicles' occupants sustained life-threatening injuries.
Cappello was seriously injured in the crash, and succumbed to her injuries Tuesday, a spokesman for the Worcester County District Attorney told Patch.

The crash remains under investigation, the DA's office said.
