Saturday, Feb. 9
1:17 p.m. the Governor has announced that the driving ban will be lifted today at 4 p.m.

12 p.m. Andover Police have not yet had to issue any tickets for driving around but have pulled a few people over.
10:30 a.m. Andover Police report that the town is doing fine and have not had any major incidents.

9:30 a.m. all MBTA lines are still out of commission and probably will be until Monday.
9 a.m. looks like Andover survived the night without any power outages.
Friday, Feb. 8
10:54 p.m. all of Andover still has power, according to National Grid, while entire towns such as Quincy are without it.
9:15 p.m. Channel 7 reports from Chateau parking lot in a feature about the "eerily empty streets."
9 p.m. Over 6 inches of snow has reportedly fallen in Andover, according to the National Weather Service.
6:45 p.m. Both Whole Foods and Orange Leaf have tweeted that they will be closed until Saturday afternoon.
5:45 p.m. National Grid is reporting that all customers in Andover still have power.
4 p.m. all non-emergency-related vehicles are prohibited from driving on the roads as of now. Non-emergency vehicles are still on the roadway but are few and far between.
3 p.m. the streets are very quiet in Andover but vehicles are still on the streets.
2 p.m. the Senior Center is closed today due to the blizzard.
1 p.m. the governor has declared an executive order suspending all motor vehicle traffic after 4 p.m.
12 p.m. the Town of Andover has announced that the snow parking ban will be in effect as of 7 p.m. tonight. All street-side parking will be prohibited after 7 p.m. All vehicles in violation will be towed at the owner's expense.
7 a.m. Both the Town Offices and Memorial Hall Library will close at noon today due to the impending storm.
Thursday, Feb. 7
6:30 p.m. Governor Deval Patrick is asking all drivers to be off the road by noon tomorrow.
6 p.m. Andover School Superintendent Marinel McGrath cancels school for tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 8, due to the impending blizzard.
5:37 p.m. the MBTA has suspended all lines effective 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
12 p.m. Town of Andover advises residents of possible parking ban in case of a snow emergency. All street-side parking will be prohibited if a snow emergency is called, which will be posted on andoverma.gov.
8 a.m. Andover High School is advising students that are planning to take the ACT test on Saturday to check with the ACT website, actstudent.org, for cancellations. You can also call (319)-337-1270.
4 a.m. - Blizzard Updated in Andover - In the National Weather Service's Blizzard Watch, they say there is the potential for between 18 and 24 inches of snow in Andover.
The storm is expected to start on Thursday evening and last until Saturday afternoon. Snow will be heaviest Friday evening into Saturday morning, falling at 2 to 3 inches an hour. Visibility will be less than a quarter mile.
In addition to falling snow, though, the winds will gust causing blowing and drifting snow. The weather service said the wind will blow at 25-35 miles per hour with possible 55-mile-per-hour gusts.
