Woman Reports Creepy Note Left on Porch

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

At 6 a.m. a caller reported a two-car accident on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported but one driver was cited for following too closely.

At 7:40 a.m. an officer reported a damaged parking meter on Park Street. 

At 8:22 a.m. a caller reported a larceny from a motor vehicle on Bulfinch Drive.

At 8:57 a.m. police arrested Kenneth Berube, 50, of 83 Spofford Road, on Lowell Street. Berube was charged with assault and battery.

At 11:59 a.m. a caller reported that large chunks of ice were falling from his roof in downtown Andover and was asking the police if it should be taped off. Police put up caution tape. 

At 3:27 p.m. an officer reports seeing a vehicle that looks like it was just in an accident and then found a second vehicle up the road. The officer ended up arrested one driver, John Tripp, 39, of 7 Essex Ave., Swampscott, on South Main Street. Tripp was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of an accident. 

Wednesday, Feb. 13

At 10:29 a.m. a caller reported that she was scammed on Ebay for money. 

At 10:49 a.m. police arrested Scott H. Regan, 61, of 5 Delphi Circle, on Gray Road. Regan was charged with a marked lanes violation and operating under the influence of liquor. 

At 11:37 a.m. parking employee David Cantone reported a no parking sign was knocked down on Chestnut Court. 

At 7:54 p.m. a two car crash was reported on Haverhill Street. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, Feb. 14

At 12:11 a.m. a caller reported illegal dumping on High Street. The caller saw several landscaping trucks dumping snow in the town snow dump on High Street. 

At 1:12 a.m. a caller reported a car crash on Penni lane. The driver had gotten a ride home to Hawthorne Circle by the time officers arrived. However, the car was left in the snowbank and it was running. A tow truck was called eventually and the driver was summonsed for possesion of a class E substance with intent to distribute. 

At 10:44 a.m. police assisted North Reading Police with a breaking and entering suspect at 1 Dix Road in North Reading. 

At 3:19 p.m. a caller at the Wyndham Hotel reported that her license plate was stolen while parked at the hotel. 

At 7:38 p.m. a caller reported that his girlfriend found a note on her porch on North Main Street that said "You look good in red." The caller believed that the suspect was still in the area. Officers did a check of the area.
