ARLINGTON, MA — A GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $15,000 for an Arlington family who lost their home in a fire over the weekend.

The two-alarm fire broke out on White Street around 7 p.m. on Saturday. CBS Boston reported that residents of the first and second floors got out safely, but are now displaced.

The fundraiser for one of the families will go toward helping them relocate and refurnish their home, as "not much was able to be salvaged," the organizers said. The most immediate need for the family is housing.

"While renters insurance is covering some basics, they will need so much more support to rebuild back what they lost, especially for their two girls," the organizers wrote.
