Arlington 2020 Town Election Voter's Guide
Here's what you need to know about the June 6 Town Election.

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington will have several contested races in the June 6 Town Election, including School Committee, Select Board, Town Clerk, Assessor and Housing Authority.

Early Voting Guidelines
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Town Clerk's office is providing supplemental absentee voting for registered voters June 4 and 5 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Town Hall parking lot off Academy Street.
The Town Clerk's office said is also working to mail all previously requested absentee ballots and has already received several returned ballots. However, registered voters who requested absentee or other mail-in ballots but have not yet received them, or registered voters who still wish to vote by absentee ballot may complete an absentee ballot in person during the above hours.
Note: Friday's hours are only for those who applied before noon on Friday, June 5 but have not yet received a ballot.
- Please be prepared to provide your address and Precinct number to ensure you obtain the proper ballot
- For everyone’s access and safety, please be sure to wear a mask and practice social distancing on site
- In-person absentee ballots must be completed and returned on site. You may not take them home to complete later
- If you complete an in-person absentee ballot at Town Hall and later receive an absentee ballot by mail, you need take no further action. Only one ballot can be counted for each voter.
- If you already received an absentee or "early" mail-in voting, you do not need to request another in person. If you have not done so already, fill it out and drop your ballot off at one of three drop boxes in Arlington by 8:00 p.m. on June 6th. A postmark prior to June 6th will not be sufficient to count your ballot, so it is strongly encouraged you drop your ballots off at one of these boxes:
- East Arlington: In front Fox Branch Library (175 Mass Ave.)
- Arlington Center: Town Hall, lower plaza (before front steps)
- Arlington Heights: ACMi building (85 Park Ave.)
Each of the three drop boxes are being emptied daily by and are also under video surveillance in order to maximize the safety and security of ballots once deposited.
Polling Location Changes
Polls open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Polling locations have changed for precincts 7, 9, and 20:
- Precinct 7 will be at Arlington Town Hall
- Precinct 9 will be at the Bishop School, Enter from Stowecroft Road
- Precinct 20 will be at the Dallin School on Florence Ave.
Absentee ballot applications may still be submitted, but it is strongly recommended voters take advantage of the above options.
