Arlington Accepting Applications For Housing Stability Program

The program, funded through the town's allocation from the American Rescue Plan Act, will support Arlington renters and homeowners.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Town of Arlington has opened applications for its new Housing Stability Program, which will support both renters and homeowners who have been impacted by the economic instability caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program, funded through the town’s allocation from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), provides up to three months provides up to three months of rental and mortgage assistance to Arlington households that have a low or middle income.

Households with incomes at or below 100 percent of the Area Median Income (as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) are eligible to apply. A shortened application process. A shortened application process is available for those with incomes at or below 40 percent of the area median income.

The Arlington Housing Stability Program is accepting applications on a rolling basis until December 31. All applications will be screened for eligibility and those applicants determined to be eligible will be contacted by the Town of Arlington Department of Planning and Community Development or the contracted certification specialist, SEB Housing, to complete their application.
