Arlington Among The Top 20 Most 'Creative' Places in The Nation
A new study says more than 60 percent of Arlington belongs to the "creative class."

Arlington is the 20th most “creative” town in the nation, according to recent data. If you reside there, there’s a more than 60 percent chance you belong to the “creative class.”
That doesn’t mean Arlington is disproportionately populated by eccentric art school students. In fact, its denizens are more likely to work in tech.
“Creative class,” in the sense the phrase is used by Richard Florida and the Martin Prosperity Institute, encompasses well-funded professionals in science, tech, arts, culture, media, and entertainment.

The demographic makes up about 33 percent of the American workforce, according to Florida’s article in The Atlantic.
The study shows 61.1 percent of Arlington fits into the “creative class,” as does 67.9 percent of Cambridge, and 74.2 percent of Brookline.

Silicon Valley’s Cupertino, California, outdoes the rest of the nation with 76.9 percent of its population working in the creative class.
