2 Hospitalized After Shooting Incident At Cambridge Residence
The incident took place in the early hours of the morning.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — Two people were hospitalized after a shooting incident early Thursday morning, according to the Cambridge Police Department.
Officers responded to a home on Howard Street at approximately 3:20 a.m. after receiving a report about a fight taking place between relatives. Upon arrival, two people were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Police performed life-saving efforts and other medical treatment until emergency medical services arrived. According to the department, one person’s injuries are being described as serious while the other’s are considered non-life threatening.
Police’s preliminary investigation has them believing the altercation was an isolated incident between the parties during a gathering at the home, and that it poses no broader threat to the community, however the investigation remains ongoing.

Nearby neighbors were shocked and saddened to hear about the situation, and said these types of occurrences are not common in their neighborhood, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.
