Arlington Appoints New DEI Director
Ramsha Baluch assumed her new role earlier this month.

ARLINGTON, MA—The town has announced Ramsha Baluch's appointment as its new Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Baluch was appointed by Director of Health and Human Services Colleen Leger. Prior to her new role, Baluch was the Assistant Director of Student Equity and Inclusion for Bentley University. Her prior work experience also includes Coordinator of Client Services and Strategic Partnerships at the Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology. Some of Baluch’s new responsibilities are to oversee the work of the Human Rights Commission, Rainbow Commission, Disability Commission, as well as to provide support to the Civilian Police Advisory Commission.
“I’m pleased Ramsha has accepted the role,” Leger said. “She brings significant DEI expertise and a deep commitment to fostering inclusivity.”

Baluch has a master’s degree in Education, Gender, and International Development from the University College London. According to the town, she is fluent in the languages of Hindu and Urdu.
