ARLINGTON, MA—The Police Department announced Wednesday that the winter session of the Community Police Academy has been canceled due to low enrollment.

The academy includes scenario-based learning using real equipment and technology at the department’s disposal. Topics advertised include emergency response, cybercrimes, identity fraud protection, crime scene investigation, and more.

The now-canceled classes were slated to begin on Jan. 9, 2025 and take place each Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the police station’s community room, located on 112 Mystic St. The department expressed its plans to host a session in the spring.
