Historic Weekend In Arlington Approaching

The town is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution

ARLINGTON, MA — The town released its full schedule of events ahead of its 250th anniversary.

In addition to the Battle of Menotomy reenactment on Sunday, April 20, there are other festivities planned in the hours and days surrounding for community members to become immersed in Arlington’s colonial history.

The Menotomy beer hall will be open on Saturday, April 19 between 12 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Two specialty beers have been crafted in honor of the occasion and will be available to attending residents, along with local food and live music.

On both April 19 and Monday, April 21, tours of the historic Jason Russell House on 7 Jason St. between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. According to the city, the home was in the center of many colonial-era battles. Jason Russell’s family lived in the home until the end of the 19th century.

The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum will also have a Patriots’ Day celebration on April 21, in which Paul Revere-inspired poems will be read.

In addition to the Battle of Menotomy, the ride of Paul Revere and William Dawes will also be recreated at Town Hall at 11 a.m.
