Arlington High School Seniors Have An Opportunity To Shape Their Futures With Scholarship

The award is given to a student with a background and future plans in theatre.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Friends of the Drama are currently accepting applications from students for its annual Denis M. Fitzpatrick Scholarship.

The financial award is named in memory of the member of the nonprofit and long-time Belmont High School English teacher who died in 2010.

Students can download the application online and email it to publicity@afdtheatre.org or mail it to the AFD’s headquarters on 22 Academy St. until its deadline on Friday, April 18.

The scholarship is open to any high school senior going on to higher education who has worked as a member of the cast or crew in school or community theater and plans to pursue higher education in theater arts or participate in school or community theater while pursuing higher education. It will be awarded to the winner in the form of a check during the AFD’s final meeting of the season on Sunday, June 29.
