Arlington Offering Tricycle Transportation Program
The town is renting ADA-compliant rides for use on the Minuteman Bikeway.

ARLINGTON, MA — The town is launching a new tricycle rental program to be used on the Minuteman Bikeway.
The initiative was primarily funded through a $186,000 grant from the Massachusetts Office on Disability. The tricycles are meant for people who have physical limitations that prevent them from using traditional two-wheeled rides. The start of the program coincides with the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Community members can rent tricycles in two-hour increments from the Ed Burns Arena on Summer Street.

The program was developed through a partnership among the Arlington Disability Commission, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Division of Health and Human Services, and the Recreation Department.
