ARLINGTON, MA — Explosives found in an Arlington home were safely detonated Thursday, police said.

Police said a resident found the old explosives, which were used for building teardowns.

The Massachusetts State Police's Bomb Unit detonated them at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington police said.
