Arlington Town Meeting Approves FY2026 Budget: Report

ARLINGTON, MA — Town Meeting voted unanimously to approve the town’s budget for fiscal year 2026, according to a report from YourArlington.

Article 49, which included the $226,495,721 budget, was approved after nearly three hours of debate. $103.6 million of the total amount is reserved for the public school district, which marks a 7.3% increase from FY25. The increase aims to address and fund the increase in enrollment at Arlington High School as well as the reinstatement of librarians to all public schools in town.
Town Meeting is slated to resume on Monday, May 12.
