Body Of Missing 73-Year-Old Arlington Man Found Near Horn Pond

Officers located the man's body on Thursday around 12:22 a.m. in the area of the pond's lagoon, police said.

ARLINGTON, MA — The body of a missing 73-year-old Arlington resident has been found near Horn Pond in Woburn, according to Chief Robert Rufo of the Woburn Police Department.

On Wednesday, June 1 around 11:20 p.m, a woman reported that a relative did not return home after what was believed to be a walk in the area of Horn Pond, police said. Woburn dispatched several units and K-9 assistance was requested from the Massachusetts State Police.

Officers located the man’s body on Thursday around 12:22 a.m. in the area of the pond’s lagoon, police said.

"The Woburn Police Department extends its condolences to the man’s family and loved ones, and thanks its first responder partners for their assistance,” the department said in a news release.

The death remains under investigation by the Woburn Police Department and state police, but foul play is not suspected at this time.
