Century-old Custard Location Has Closed In Arlington: Report
Abbott's Frozen Custard originated in New York in the early 1900s.
ARLINGTON, MA — The Abbott’s Frozen Custard Arlington Heights location has closed its doors, according to a report from Boston Restaurant Talk.
The store on 71 Park Ave. has emptied its freezers and has been removed from the business’s website. The business’s New York origins date back more than 120 years, when founder Arthur Abbott started selling frozen custard at carnivals along the Eastern Seaboard. Abbott’s has had locations in Needham and Lexington in the past.
