How To Stay Socially Distant For Arlington's Town Election

Arlington has extended the voter registration deadline and is offering by-mail or drop-off ballot options.

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington is sending residents a request form to receive an early voting by mail ballot for the June 6 Town Election. Polls will be open using new safety protocols, however residents are encouraged to take advantage of early voting by mail to limit in-person interactions.

To participate in early voting by mail, fill out, sign and return the invitation as soon as possible. To have your ballot counted, mail or deliver it in time to reach your local election official before the polls close on June 6.

You can mail it to the address provided or drop the ballot off at one of three drop boxes that will open Thursday, May 21 at:

- East Arlington: Mass Ave and Lake St (corner by Winter Street)
- Arlington Center: Town Hall, lower plaza (before front steps)
- Arlington Heights: Park and Mass Ave (corner by clock)

Absentee ballots applications may still be submitted. If you wish to request an absentee ballot for this election or for the remaining elections this fall, you may use this link to Download Absentee ballot request and instructions. Requests should be submitted as soon as possible – preferably this week – to ensure ample time to receive and turn in your ballot. Absentee ballots can also be dropped off at the boxes around Town listed above.

Voter registration for the Town Election has been extended to May 27.
