Massachusetts Avenue Reconstruction Project Has Improved Pedestrian Safety
Local and state officials to cut the ribbon at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Grafton Street.

Officials from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will join Senator Ken Donnelly, Representative David Rogers, Arlington Board of Selectmen Chair Kevin Greeley, and Arlington Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 Saturday morning, Nov. 21, for the Massachusetts Avenue Reconstruction Project in East Arlington.
The officials will gather at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Grafton Street.
According to MASS DOT, the project has improved pedestrian safety, and reconstructed this area to include new signage and signals and additional crosswalks with highly reflective paint, and newly constructed bump-outs at key intersections to shorten the crossing distances for pedestrians on Massachusetts Avenue.
