(ARLINGTON, MA) The Arlington Cultural Council (ACC), Massachusetts Cultural Council’s (MCC) representative body in the town, invites the public to attend its annual Spring celebration of Arlington’s expanding arts and culture scene on Monday, April 13, 6:00-7:30 pm, in Lyons Hearing Room, 2nd Floor of Arlington Town Hall, 730 Mass. Ave. The Council’s 2015 grantees will be honored, with special recognition to last year’s grantee Luminarium Dance Company, for their MCC Gold Star Award. Light refreshments and entertainment provided.

About ACC: The Arlington Cultural Council distributes funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, to support arts, humanities and interpretive science projects that benefit our community. Monthly meetings are open to the public. Notice is posted outside the Town Clerk’s office and on the town website. The Arlington Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCC) serving 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation. Those interested in joining are encouraged to contact a council member (see town website) or email arlingtonculturalcouncil@yahoo.com.
The 2016 grant cycle will begin in September when ACC will offer grant information sessions. Application forms will be available at Robbins Library and Town Hall and from the MCC website. The proposals must be received in the Arlington Board of Selectmen’s office on or postmarked by Thursday, October 15, 2015.
