Arlington residents curious about the relatively piracy-proof appeal of comic book stores are in luck. Saturday, May 2, marks 2015’s official Free Comic Book Day - an annual promotional campaign celebrated by comic shops nationwide.
Visitors at participating stores - like Magic Dragon - can snag two of more than 50 (while supplies last) Free Comic Book Day special edition issues from titles ranging from household names like “Avengers,” and “Bob’s Burgers” to quirky and obscure books along the lines of “Supermutant Magic Academy,” in exchange for zero dollars.
Unique to Magic Dragon - a sale on trade paperbacks, and fan favorite DC anti-heroine Harley Quinn, who is usually a fictional character, will be on hand for photo opportunities.
