Second Arlington Restaurant Closes As New Development Planned

A Mass. Ave. building housing two restaurants is expected to be torn down to make way for a mixed-use development.

ARLINGTON, MA — A second Arlington restaurant will close to make way for a planned mixed-use development. Thana Thai Kitchen on Mass. Ave. could shut down as soon as the end of this month, but it may linger due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wicked Local reported.

The restaurant will become a takeout business operating out of Commonwealth Kitchen in Cambridge.

Thana Thai's neighbor, Toraya, closed April 30 but is looking to open in a new location. The building housing the two restaurants is expected to be torn down and replaced by a development featuring apartments and retail space, Wicked Local reported.
