What's Open, Closed On Patriots' Day In Arlington

ARLINGTON, MA — Patriots' Day is Monday, April 19 in Massachusetts. The Bay State-specific holiday marks the Battles of Lexington and Concord and the start of the Revolutionary War.

In a typical year, Patriots' Day would also coincide with Marathon Monday. That's been tentatively rescheduled to Oct. 11 after being canceled last year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Here's a handy list of what's open (and closed) during the holiday in Arlington:

April 19: All Town Administrative Offices, Libraries Closed

This includes Robbins and Fox libraries and the following town offices:

- Town Hall, 730 Mass. Ave.
- Senior Center, 27 Maple St.
- Recreation Office, 422 Summer Street
- DPW Administrative, 51 Grove St.
- Inspectional Services, 51 Grove St.
- APD Records Room, 112 Mystic St.
- Fire Administrative Office, 411 Mass. Ave.

April 19: No Trash/Recycling Collection

One-day delay rest of week.

There will be no trash or recycling collections on April 19th. Monday's collection will be picked up on Tuesday. There will be a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.
