Attleboro Can Win Money for Dog Park

The dogs in Attleboro have long dreamed of wide-open spaces and a place to call their own. So, the Attleboro Dog Park Committee nominated the city in PetSafe's 2012 Bark for Your Park contest.

One city will be awarded $100,000 to build a local dog park and two other pet passionate finalists will receive $25,000.

This will be Attleboro's second attempt at the grand prize," committee co-Chair Ray Cord said. "In 2011, Attleboro made it all the way to the top 25 cities in the country in contention for the $100,000."

Now that Attleboro has been nominated, PetSafe will review our planned site and civic leaders' support. Citizens will also be able vote every day to help their city move forward in the contest. These votes will be counted to pick the finalists. For the best chance to become a finalist, Attleboro should excel in all three of these categories.

The 15 Finalists will be announced June 15, when they will be asked to produce a video and continue barking for their park.
