Bay View Academy Honors Seekonk Residents

Bay View Academy of East Providence graduates and Seekonk residents Rachel Provazza and Morgan Morris were honored recently at the school's Senior Awards Night, which took place at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick, R.I.

Provazza received an award for excellence in performing arts due to her dedication, talent, spirit of camaraderie and respect for the craft.

Also, because she has reflected throughout her years at Bay View a high degree of academic diligence and a high standard of personal conduct, Provazza received the S. Mary Edward Walsh Award. It is named for Bay View's principal from 1951 to 1963 whose tenure was characterized by a single-minded dedication to the growth and strength of the academic life of the school. Recipients of the annual recognition are students who best exhibit these values.
