Community VNA Hospice Needs Volunteers

in Attleboro is seeking volunteers to participate in a 20-hour training course that will take place April 3 to April 24 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Community VNA, which is located at 10 Emory St.

Hospice volunteers provide support and respite to terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers find the work of Hospice gratifying and uniquely meaningful to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Support for patients and their families often includes providing companionship, running errands, providing transportation or simply being a listening presence.

Volunteer assignments take place in communities we serve, including Attleboro and Seekonk. Volunteers may also choose to assist in the administrative offices by preparing mailings, filing, and assisting with special events that are part of our agency's community outreach efforts.
