The following is an edited release from Dayspring Christian Academy:
Dayspring Christian Academy of Attleboro successfully hosted its annual "Family Night" program Sept. 21 on school grounds, greeting hundreds of students, siblings and parents and welcoming back an illustrious alumnus.
Billy Arruda of Attleboro, a senior at Bishop Feehan High and a 2009 graduate of DCA, thrilled the throngs in attendance with a guitar and singing performance capping the night's festivities. Arruda has already commercially released a CD single and is considered an up-and-coming rock musician in the United States.

Arruda's performance climaxed a memorable evening at DCA, organized and operated by school officials in conjunction with its Parents Advisory Committee headed by Joyce Messier. The event included food and refreshments, fun activities for youngsters, and opportunities for parents to meet and converse with school teachers and officials.
While classes at DCA commenced earlier in the month, the Sept. 21 function was the first major social gathering of the school year for families of students and was designed to promote camaraderie within the school community.
