The <a href="http://www.mysticaquarium.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Mystic Aquarium</a> traveling program recently came to  in Attleboro to give presentations to the science classes. The fifth-graders participated in a presentation about beluga whales. The sixth-grade students learned about the unique characteristics of an estuary and analyzed samples to determine water quality. Students had the opportunity to interact with live marine invertebrates and discover how human activity has impacted this delicate ecosystem. The seventh-graders studied the squid—one of the largest, fastest and most intelligent invertebrates in the sea. Students discovered the amazing adaptations of these animals by participating in a detailed dissection of a local species.
