point average in each subject.
The Presidential Award, which is signed by President Barack Obama, was given to students who maintained an A average and whose standardized achievement test scores in math or reading were in the 85th percentile or higher.
Seventeen sixth-grade students were inducted into
the National Junior Honor Society. In addition, more than $3,000 in scholarship money was awarded to students in areas of achievement and service.
