in Attleboro recently held its honors Night. Students who had achieved high honors and honors throughout the year were recognized for their achievements, as were those with the highest grade point average in each subject. The Presidential Award, which is signed by President Barack Obama, was given to students who maintained an A average and whose standardized achievement test scores in math or reading were in the 85th percentile or higher. Seventeen sixth-grade students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. In addition, more than $3,000 in scholarship money was awarded to students in areas of achievement and service. Non-academic awards were presented to students who had shown dedication or talent in a particular area.
