Esther M. Fratoni, 96, of Park Street, Attleboro, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed on July 30, 2013 in the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo Fratoni.
Born in Framingham on September 6, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Lucia (Errico) Aceti. Esther was employed for many years as a salesperson at the former London's Department Store in Attleboro. Esther was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed knitting hats for church fairs for many years, and was also an avid Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics fan. Esther enjoyed spending summers with her family and friends at the family home on Cape Cod.
Esther is survived by two daughters; Antoinette Strom of Raynham, and Marie Fratoni of Norcross, Georgia, two sisters; Gilda Gaines of Framingham, Gemma Botti of Framingham, two grandchildren; Michael and Matthew Strom, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rudolpho Aceti, Pasquale Aceti, Mary Ferragamo, Anna Brown, and Dora Rossi.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11 AM in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, celebrated by Rev. Richard Wilson, Pastor. Esther will be laid to rest privately in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield.
