Stephanie Jean Fortes, 48, of Emory Street, Attleboro, died on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 5, 1965, she was a daughter of Joseph John Fortes of Rehoboth and the late Dorothy (Baptista) Fortes. Raised in Rehoboth, Ms. Fortes was an Attleboro resident for the past 15 years.
Ms. Fortes was a homemaker.
She enjoyed visits to Cape Cod beaches, gardening, cooking and will be remembered for her “green thumb”.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her three children: Channel S. Fortes, Aaron J. Fortes and Gabrielle N. Fortes all of Attleboro; a grandson: Anthony C. Pedro of Attleboro; a sister: Cynthia A. Peckham of Riverside, Rhode Island; a brother: Anthony J. Fortes of Acushnet and several extended family members.
She was the sister of the late Susan Fortes.
