Attleboro Supermarket Freezer Fire Quickly Extinguished: FD
There was charring and arcing electrical wiring inside a freezer unit, according to the fire department.

ATTLEBORO, MA — Attleboro firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze in a local supermarket freezer Wednesday morning, the department said.
Firefighters were called out to the 251 Washington St. supermarket shortly after 7:30 a.m.
"When crews arrived, the building was already evacuated, and firefighters learned that store staff had noted a light smoke condition in a rear storage area," the Attleboro Fire Department said in a media release.

"Crews quickly located charring and arcing electrical wiring inside a freezer unit," the release said. "They were able to isolate the issue and shut down the power going to the affected equipment."
The Attleboro Department of Health conducted an inspection following the fire, according to the release.

"The Attleboro Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit is still investigating to determine the exact cause of the incident, but initial findings indicate the fire originated from the electrical wiring inside the freezer unit," the release said.
