'Big Read' Gets Started

Locals enjoy games from the 1930s, the era of the "Big Read" novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird."

Children and the young at heart were in front of the on Saturday, crocheting as well as playing croquet and other games popular in the 1930s, the era in which the novel To Kill a Mockingbird takes place. This was the first event of the "Big Read," a program dedicated to the Pulitzer Prize-winning American classic.

The Attleboro Library calendar lists more local events. The "Big Read" events are posted in green.
