Creative Carvings Displayed at Farmers Market

Various masterpieces are submitted for the Saturday contest.

There were several unique and creative submissions on Saturday for the Attleboro Farmers Market's pumpkin carving contest. The Pollis family transformed their pumpkin into an orange globe for the winning entry called "The World." The kids prize went to "The Farmer" from the Olson family. The Judge's Choice award went to "Frankenstein" from the Finnegan family.

Abby Rovaldi, Attleboro Arts Museum's programs coordinator, served as the contest judge. The winners received free tickets to the Spooktacular event at Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary as well as market bags and T-shirts.

The final market day of the 2012 season will take place next Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
