Attleboro firefighters responded to Clarence St. Monday for reports of a fire to a detached garage.
According to Attleboro Fire Captain Tim Birch, nobody was injured in the ordeal but the garage suffered considerable damage and will likely be a total loss. Birch said the structure caught fire due to cooking oil that was left heated inside the garage.
Firefighters responded to the call at 10:50 a.m. and were able to put down the fire within 10 minutes, Birch said.
The captain said four propane tanks were inside the garage and firefighters were lucky to put the fire down so quickly.
Clarence St. is located off of South Main St. near the Seabra Supermarket.
